In the presence of Mayor Robert Diethelm, the delighted buyers, architects Christian Meng and Katja Weingartner (Gisel & Partner Architekten), Christian Hänni (Hänni Landschaftsarchitektur AG), Roger Krüsi (Projekt AG), Ronny Ochsner (Locher Ingenieure AG), Adrian and Werner Hohl (Hohl Baugeschäft AG), Heinz Stäheli (Appenzeller Kantonalbank), and other project participants, the ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of the 15 residential units of the Sägewies III project in Heiden took place.
“For us as the municipality of Heiden, today is a joyful moment. The time spent shuffling papers, processing objections, and hopefully dealing with legal matters is over—now the work is underway, and something truly beautiful is taking shape at this site,” said Mayor Robert Diethelm, expressing his enthusiasm about the start of construction. “It is important to us as the municipality of Heiden, and we are very pleased that we will be able to welcome new residents here in the future.”
The condominiums in the Sägewies III project feature well-designed floor plans, high-quality finishes, and modern architecture. Of particular note are the three penthouse apartments, which impress with direct elevator access, spacious covered terraces, and impressive ceiling heights. “With their south-facing panoramic windows, these apartments offer a living experience that is second to none,” explains Sandra Davatz, sales consultant at ZIMA Projektentwicklung AG.
With its distinctive gabled roofs, the complex blends harmoniously into the gentle hillside on the southern edge of the village. Generous green spaces, a well-designed network of paths, and an underground parking garage with 28 spaces underscore the high quality of living. Daniel Fässler, Managing Director of Leven Property AG, emphasizes: “With Sägewies III, we are creating a home that is ideally tailored to the needs of young and old alike.”
Attractive location near St. Gallen and Lake Constance
The new development combines living close to naturewith excellent infrastructure. Schools, shopping, and the Heiden train station are just a few minutes away, while recreational amenities such as the Chindlisteinweg trail, the Heiden outdoor pool, and the nearby ski lift enhance the quality of life. “The location combines tranquility, nature, and excellent connectivity, which makes the project attractive to many target groups,” adds Fässler.
